Giovanni Michelotti

Giovanni Michelotti (1921-1980) was one of the most prolific designers of sports cars in the 20th century.
Born in Turin, Italy, Michelotti worked for a number of design houses and owned his own design studio in Italy. He influenced numerous car designs, including a number of Triumphs, the Maserati Spyder, BMW 700, Alpine A106, DAF 55, Prince Skyilne Sport, the Leyland P76 and the Reliant Scimitar SS1 as well as the Volvo 66. One of his first was the Lancia Aprilia Coupé.
