Giovanni Comisso

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Giovanni Comisso (October 3, 1895 - 1969) was an Italian writer.

Born in Treviso, he was an important figure of the Italian literature of the first half of the 20th century. He wrote novels, stories, reportages (for the "Corriere della Sera" and "Gazzetta del Popolo").

During his years after the return to Treviso, Giovanni Comisso took two lovers, Bruno Pagan and Guido Bottegal, both sixteen. Pagan moved away after a three year relationship, but Guido, was shot by partisans, being mistaken for a fascist spy. Comisso is thought to have never gotten over his loss, and took no more lovers.
