Giora Epstein

Giora Epstein (Hebrew: גיורא אפשטיין) (born 1938) was an Israeli fighter pilot in the Israeli Air Force, and is the current modern-day "ace of aces" in shooting down jet fighters since 1970.

Epstein has a total of 17 downed aircraft to his name, all of which are confirmed. Epstein shot down enemy planes flying the Mirage III and the Mirage V.

All the craft shot down by Epstein were part of the Egyptian Air Force and consisted of:

Epstein shot down his last airplane on October 24, 1973, and has held the modern-day world record ever since.
