[edit] Characters

Tazusa Sakurano (桜野タズサ Sakurano Tazusa?), the main character, is a 16-year old Japanese figure skater known for her sharp tongue. She is on bad terms with the media and the public because of her attitude and string of bad luck in competition. Her goal is to compete in the Torino Olympics. At the beginning of the series is possessed by the ghost of Pete Pumps and while she initally hated him, she gradually grew to accept his (constant) presence in her life. While possessed, she picked up the habit of eating tomatoes (because Pete hates tomatoes) and using masochism (since Pete can share Tazusa's pain) to keep Pete in line. She has an unlucky tendency to sleep/lose consciousness. She describes herself as a "$10 Billion Beauty." (Seiyuu: Kawasumi Ayako).

Pete Pumps (ピート・パンプス Piito Panpusu?) is a 16 year Canadian old stunt pilot who had the bad luck of dying in a plane crash due a mechanical malfunction. As a ghost he needs to wait 100 days before he can go to Heaven (his date of ascension is February 23rd) and inadvertently ends up possessing Tazusa. Pete likes Tazusa and tries to help her improve her public image and succeed in being selected for the Olympics. (Seiyuu: Yoshino Hiroyuki).

Kyōko Shidō (至藤響子 Shidō Kyōko?) is one of Tazusa's skating rivals. She is the preferred choice for the Japanese Olympic representative for Women's Figure Skating because she is closer to the Skating Federation's "ideal," and as such, she and Tazusa are quite competitive. She has a calm personality. (Seiyuu: Murai Kazusa).

Yūji Takashima (高島優司 Takashima Yūji?) is Tazusa's Canadian coach. He is an all around nice guy, always seeing the good aspects in everyone. Tazusa and her younger sister live with him because of their parents' divorce. (Seiyuu: Kosugi Jurota).

Kazuya Nitta (新田一也 Nitta Kazuya?) is a freelance reporter. He has a secret crush on Kyoko and tries to help Tazusa in her battles with the mass media. (Seiyuu: Chiba Isshin).

Yōko Sakurano (桜野ヨーコ Sakurano Yōko?) is Tazusa's level-headed younger sister. In the novel series she also figure skates. (Seiyuu: Saito Chiwa)

Mika Honjo (本城ミカ Honjō Mika?) is Tazusa's quiet best friend who designs all her skating outfits. A running gag in the anime consists of Tazusa yelling at Pete (who is invisible to other people) only to have Mika mistake the target of Tazusa's tirade as herself. (Seiyuu: Inoue Marina) Mika's seiyuu also sings the ending theme of the anime series.

Yukie Mishiro (三代雪絵 Mishiro Yukie?) is an official from the Japan Skating Federation. Tazusa calls her Nasty or Sarcastic the Third. However, she does believe that Tazusa has special potential. (Seiyuu: Suzuki Hiroko)

Dominique Miller (ドミニク・ミラー Dominiku Mirā?) is an American figure skater and one of Tazusa's rivals. She is very antagonistic towards Tazusa. She is notable in the anime mainly because all of her lines were in (badly accented) English. (Seiyuu: Okamoto Maya)

Ria Garnet Juitiev (リア・ガーネット・ジュイティエフ Ria Gānetto Juiteifu?) is a world-class Russian figure skater and the favorite to win gold in at the Winter Olympics. As such, she is Tazusa's strongest rival. (Seiyuu: Noto Mamiko)

[edit] Episodes Guide

01.The $10 Billion Beauty- This Episode is mainly about how Tazusa got possessed. It started out that Tazusa was doing a jump, but went too fast and fell on the ice, which causes her to lose consciousness. Then we fast forward to her waking up. It later turns out that when Tazusa was doing her jump Pete was crashing his plane because it lost control like Tazusa's spin. Tazusa is then walking the hallways and bumped into Dominique Miller. Dominique scolds her in English. Tazusa has no idea what she's saying. Then she starts hearing a voice saying "Kiss my a**" in English, which Tazuna says out loud. Miller is then shocked and walks away.

The next day, after Tazusa got over a mob of reporters she starts hearing the voice again. She was telling the voice to shut up and got scolded by a nun at the Catholic school she goes to. After the nun/teacher finishes talking to Tazusa. Tazusa runs to the bathroom. She starts to yell at the voice. The voice introduces himself as Pete Pumps, a 16 year old Canadian ghost. At home Tazusa goes from doing an exorcism to chugging Tabasco to get rid of the ghost. Thus the episode ends with the morning of the next day, Tazusa thinking that the "hentai ("perverted") ghost left, but Pete's voice comes in and asks why don't they get along with other.

02.Keyword is Tomato- The episode opens with Pete talking to God, who tells him that he can he come back in 100 days to gain a heavenly body. Then the steps suddenly vanish and Pete falls to Earth. While that happens Tazusa was doing her spin, from the opening, Pete suddenly then falls into Tazusa. (which may have been how Tazusa got possessed in the first place). Back to the present, Pete wakes Tazusa which causes her to get annoyed and hit herself with a pillow. Yoko, her younger sister then comes in and says breakfast is ready. Back downstairs at breakfast Tazusa is eating tomato salad. When she chews on a tomato, Pete suddenly groans. Tazusa then asks him if it's his weakness. Pete tells her that he doesn't know what she's talking about. Tazusa then goes to the kitchen opens up the refrigerator revealing a bunch of tomatoes. Then the next scene we see Tazusa going out for a jog. She then reveals that there's a press conference coming up. Pete asks her why the media hate her. Tazusa explains that last year at an important competition Shito injured her leg and couldn't compete. But Tazusa as the country was expecting to be in first place fell to 17th. The next day, we see Tazusa before the conference, holding her stomach appearing to be constipated. During the conference she loses her temper, while Pete tries to calm her down. After that a new character comes into the picture. He is a reporter who calls Tazusa's house and tells her he has a present for her.

The next day she shows up at this grand plaza somewhere and with that reporter is Shido Kyoko, her rival skater. The reporter quickly apologizes and said that he wanted the two skaters to talk before the competition. Later he leaves and lets the two talk. When the two girls are about to leave, Tazusa stands up to say something, but before she does she runs to the bathroom, at which point the episode ends.
