Inspector Gina Gold is a character in the popular ITV drama The Bill. Gina arrived in Sun Hill in 2002 after the Sun Hill Fire to replace the late Inspector Monroe. Her callsign is 'Sierra Oscar 1'.
Gina rules Sun Hill with a rod of iron - Jim Carver once referred to her as the "fire-breathing dragon". However she is shown to have a softer side. She is largely a loner but has a close friendship with Sergeant Dale Smith. She has battled with alcoholism and cervical cancer.
Gina was once a terrifying inspector but seems to have softened up a little and has become one of the show's most popular characters.
Gina is played by Roberta Taylor.
