[edit] Jack Coleman interview

Howdy again! As you may have noticed, I have removed the Jack Coleman interview reference from Heroes (TV series). Because it pertains mostly to the actor and his character, you may want to integrate information from the interview into Jack Coleman or Mr. Bennet (Heroes). If you want any help, let me know! - fmmarianicolon | Talk 02:51, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Conflicts of interest

From Wikipedia's guidelines on external links:

Due to the rising profile of Wikipedia and the amount of extra traffic it can bring a site, there is a great temptation to use Wikipedia to advertise or promote links. This includes both commercial and non-commercial sites. You should avoid linking to a website that you own, maintain or represent, even if the guidelines otherwise imply that it should be linked. If the link is to a relevant and informative site that should otherwise be included, please consider mentioning it on the talk page and let neutral and independent Wikipedia editors decide whether to add it. This is in line with the conflict of interests guidelines.

Based on your screen name and the name of the author of the Grace Park interview, I suspect this might apply to you. Having said that, I invite you to ask me to add similar links if you don't get a response on an article's talk page. I would be happy to help. CovenantD 03:16, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] March 2007

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. [edit] Response:

Ok, people. Unappropriate links? Putting content about an actor is considered as unappropriate? Putting a link to interviews that an actor has done in the profile of this actor is unappropriate?

Ok, I have more interesting things to do with my time than to contribute to your site owned by closed minds.

== Response 2: ==

I have sent a complaint.

Someone has deleted everything I have tried to contribute, and therefore has made loose all of my time coming here.

Have you read the messages sent to you explaining the deletions. It's nothing personal. 151.202.74.135 19:47, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

Yes I have read them and they are ABUSIVE. Check what I have said to explain (end of the page): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:MER-C Nothing personal? I doubt sorry, deleting ALL of what I have done without looking what is on it is a full abuse. So, because I have built the website of several actresses, I can't put the link to the official site of this actress on the article of this actress? I have to ask someone to do it for me because I am the one that have built the site? How hypocrite is that?

Then you have to delete the link to the official site of Denise Crosby: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denise_Crosby Of Claudia Christian (both official site and business site): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claudia_Christian Because I built them too!

You also have to delete the link to Gateworld in the Andee Frizzell website: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andee_Frizzell BECAUSE I AM ALSO THE DESIGNER OF GATEWORLD, so you have to delete it because I am the one that have put it there!

From your contribution site I can see that almost all of your edits were in the External links / Reference sections. Please read Wikipedia:External links and Wikipedia:Spam, where it says '"You should avoid linking to a website that you own, maintain or represent, even if the guidelines otherwise imply that it should be linked."' Maybe there were some incorrect reverts, but most wikipedians are doing their best to not bite newbies but still enforce wikipedia rules. Please, DON'T take it personally. By others changing/reverting your mistakes, you will learn. (I'm helping out because I know your contributions to gateworld, and I'm rather new here too and I am still doing newbie mistakes.) – sgeureka tc 20:24, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

{{helpme}}

Sorry, I take it personally. How hypocrite is that to ask someone to do it for me? Someone else can do it but not me? Hypocrisism on its glory. I hate that. All the time I have given to this site is lost and I am someone quite busy. And that really piss me off. This has nothing to do with newbie stuff, it has to do with senselessness. Then you have to remove the link to the gateworld interview with Andee Frizzell too, because I am the one that put that link on her profile here.

I'm leaving the {{helpme}} note up there as someone else can say something wiser than me. First, take a step back and breathe. (Please. That's not supposed to annoy you even more but you need to be clear-headed to understand the following thing.) Ask yourself what would happen if wikipedia didn't have that rule -- everyone would put up stuff about themselves and about their fan site, and the external link section would contain links to a thousand websites. Yes, your website might be (and actually is) better than most fan sites. If other wikipedia users think your website is relevant to an article, then they'll include it sooner or later. So, the wp rule is not to stop the articles from getting better but from getting worse (statistically speaking). Again, don't take it personally. About all of your lost work and time - yes, that's unfortunate, but (telling from my newbie experience) my first article was deleted as well and I was kind of bitter at first, but now I know why it was deleted, and I would even delete it myself with the wp knowledge I have now. Your time is not lost because you learned (should have learned) something, and your next edits will be better. Please stick around. The WikiProject Stargate for example is always always looking for contributors. Just don't externally link to your websites. :-) (delete the {{helpme}} tag if I could help you) – sgeureka tc 21:29, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

No, I haven't learned anything. The official site of Andee Frizzell, Bill Dow, Gary Jones, etc. are not simple sites amongst others, it's the main sites representing an actor, the only 1. And all has been deleted. And it is relevant to mention it. And then, we should wait forever that someone think to add it when I can do it myself? RIDICULOUS. If the content is relevant and you seem to check it, then deleting it is TOTALLY SILLY. Rules are one thing, every rules must be applied by humans. You are not humans, you are robots applying rules without thoughts. You make me think of the Gestapo. I'm not interested to contribute to a site that treat people trying to help them like this. I've done that once but won't do it again. There won't be next edits, deal with your crap and don't count on me to help anymore.

We don't have a lot of rules at Wikipedia. In fact, the fifth pillar of Wikipedia says "Wikipedia does not have firm rules." And that's true. We do have policies though. One of them is Wikipedia's External Links Policy, which states that you're not permitted to add your own sites, pages, blogs, forums, links et al to an article. If you think it should be added, and it would greatly benefit the article, perhaps you could discuss it on the talk page, with the other contributors of the article. Wikipedia is all about consensus. Hear what other people have to say and respect it. Don't forget to Assume Good Faith, and to Keep Cool, When The Editing Gets Hot. Hope this helps. I'll leave the {{helpme}} up there for another 5 minutes, then remove it, unless someone replies. Happy wiki-ing :)Deon555talkdesksign here! 23:47, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

{{helpme}} Yeah well if the rules says to jump from the building, then you would jump without asking why. I'm not going to kiss the ass of Wikipedia to be honored to contribute. It doesn't represents anything to me or at least anymore. You are just ROBOTS.

PS: What are you waiting for to delete the link to the gateworld interview here? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andee_Frizzell You have deleted the link to her official site (site that I designed), then you should delete that link to that site (that I designed too), because as i said, I put the link on it.... if you want to stay logical with yourself! So, don't say it's not personal!

You don't want my contributions, ok, I have nothing else to do with you.

We live in a world where rules are vital. Wikipedia is a community, where rules are also vital. It's not about whether we like the rules or not, it's about following them, because they're there for a reason. You are almost Disrupting Wikipedia to Prove a point. Just let it go, the links will not be added to the article by you, as that is a straightforward violation of policy. Please don't continue to re-insert the links, or violate NPA. Thank you — Deon555talkdesksign here! 00:32, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

{{helpme}}

Then please delete that link to stay logical with yourself: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andee_Frizzell (Interview at GateWorld) What you don't seem to understand is that rules are vital but one more vital thing is how they are applied. You apply them as robots, not as human able to think, with a brain able to judge case by case if this is usefull to apply or not.

Rules without someone able to think is worse than no rules.

And, "continuing", "re-editing"? what? where do you see that i'm continuing anything?

Stop STOP. Please do not add the {{helpme}} template again, as you are no longer asking questions, but are Disrupting to illustrate a point. If you add the {{helpme}} template again, you may lose the privilege to edit your talk page. Thank you. — Deon555talkdesksign here! 00:58, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Yes, delete my account and wipe me out of here.

I didn't say I was going to "delete your account". We don't "delete accounts" here. Just read WP:EL, WP:AGF, WP:COOL, and p'raps take a bit of time offDeon555talkdesksign here! 01:53, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

I was just asking you to delete it. What is the use of it if everything i've done is gone? And i won't do anything more so delete it.

Because of the way Wikipedia contributions are licensed, we cannot 'delete' your account, because if someone else registers it down the tracks, they gain ownership of all your edits. If you wish not to return, simply don't. We don't use technical measures to force users to retire. Feel free to use something like this on your user page. You know you don't really need to go. Users are involved in disputes every day, they just learn from it and move on. You don't have to leave ;-). Ta, — Deon555talkdesksign here! 02:21, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

This is the last thing I'll say here. People are not going to bow before you to help you, we are not going to be honored to help you, we are not going to kiss your ass to be able to help you. YOU should be honored that people wants to help your site, because without us, you are NOTHING. Then, treat them with RESPECT if you want to get respect from them. And don't come to say that it has nothing to do with that, because IT HAS TO DO WITH THAT. You got the big head and think that people must pray to help you. That is not how things goes, the ones that need help thanks the ones that help and don't treat them as a shit by destroying their works. You're such IDIOTS. Don't expect me to make a good publicity of you and don't expect me to speak of you with respect.
