Gilmer-Braxton Research Zone

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In 2004, the West Virginia counties of Gilmer and Braxton established the first technology research zone as designated by the State Legislature. Current work focuses on Wireless Community Networks and software for Defense Applications. National Public Radio covered the work of the research Zone in a December 2005 news story. Substantial tax credits are available for companies that establish business locations inside the zone.
