The Gilman Paper Company is a paper producer with a plant at the North River near St. Mary's, Georgia. As of 2006 the company is capable of producing 2.6 million pounds of paper per day. The company employs 1,100 workers and 1,500 independent, and has an office in New York City at 111 West 50th Street. The company was started by Howard Gilman, who amassed the Gilman Paper Company Collection of photographic images.
