Gills Rock is an unincorporated community located on Highway 42 in northern Door County, Wisconsin, within the town of Liberty Grove. It was formerly known as Hedgehog Harbor. It is named for Elias Gill, a local 19th century landowner (source: Around the Shores of Lake Michigan A Guide to Historic Sites by Margaret Beattie Bogue). Door County Maritime Museum is located there.
