Gillette Castle State Park is located in East Haddam, Connecticut in the United States. The castle was originally a private residence commissioned and designed by William Gillette, an American actor who is most famous for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes during the early years of American cinema.

The park consists of both the castle and the grounds around the castle. There are a number of oddities in the castle, such as unusual doorknobs, hidden mirrors for surveillance, and contrary to popular belief there are no secret passages.

The grounds used to have a railroad track with a working steam engine that visitors could ride on. Currently there is a series of walking trails. There is also a picnic area. From the castle's garden one can see the Connecticut river.
