Gilbert Brulé (born on January 1, 1987 in Edmonton, Alberta; grew up in North Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian hockey player who plays for the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League.

[edit] Playing career

Brulé was drafted 1st overall in the 2002 WHL Bantam Entry Draft by the Vancouver Giants. After three seasons in the WHL, Brulé was drafted 6th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets.

In 2005-06, Brulé started the season with the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League, but after two stints on the injured reserve list, he was returned to Vancouver for the remainder of the season.

In 2006-07, Brulé has once again started the season with the Columbus Blue Jackets of the NHL.
