Giengen

Giengen (full name: Giengen an der Brenz) is a historic city in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, with a population of about 20,000. It is situated in the district of Heidenheim, north-east of Ulm, at the southern foot of the Swabian Alb. Formerly a Freie Reichsstadt, Giengen today is lively community and home to several widely known companies, like Margarete Steiff GmbH, inventor of the Teddy Bear, and Albert Ziegler GmbH, a European leader in fire department equipment.
