Many of Žalgiris Kaunas fans blame him for missing free throws and committing errors at the end of game against Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2004[citation needed], when the door to the Euroleague's Top 4 just closed for the Lithuanian side. Following this he played in Russia and Latvia.
