Gideon Moi (1964-) is a Kenyan politician. He is the youngest son of Kenyas 2nd president, Daniel Arap Moi and Lena Moi. Gideon's secondary school education was at Strathmore College from 1977 to 1980. After his father's ascencion to power in August 1978, following the death of President Kenyatta, Gideon became a disengaged student. With the worst grades in his class, his father used his considerable influence to secure entry to St Mary's High School where he continued his half hearted attempts at academics. Gideon then embarked on a career in business where with his father's help he was quite successful. There have been and continue to be many allegations of corruption regarding his business dealings but with investigations into corruption in Kenya stalled, his innocence must be assumed. Gideon Moi is currently the member of parliament representing Baringo Central constituency, a seat once held by his father. He also wields the most influence with his father who still has considerable clout in KANU party, the former ruling party in Kenya, of which Gideon is a member.

He was plunged into politics by his father after he retired from the presidency.

He is married to Zahra.
