Gideon Emery (born on September 12, 1972 in Windsor, Berkshire, England) is an English-born actor and voice actor. He studied at St John's College and, briefly, at Reading Blue Coat School. After completing Drama School at the University of the Witwatersrand, he acted extensively in South Africa, working on stage, screen and radio. Emery became a familiar face through dozens of zany on-camera commercials. He performed standup comedy on television and was a series regular on the sketch comedy show Not Quite friday Night. He received the National Vita Award for Comedy for his role in the play Heel Against the Head.
Screen appearances include the TV movie Red Water, A Case of Murder, the award winning Cape of Good Hope and The Sorcerer's Apprentice. He also appears on screen in the upcoming features Greetings From the Shore and Touchstone Pictures' adventure thriller Primeval.

Gideon has also enjoyed an extensive voice career, covering commercials, promos, video games and even voice matching other actors. He provided the voice of Bane in The Matrix: Path of Neo video game (gameplay segments only), and most recently the voice of Balthier in the English-language version of the RPG video game Final Fantasy XII. In 2003, he became the first recipient of a Gold Craft Award for voice-over at South Africa's Loerie Advertising Awards.
