Gideon Adams

Gideon Adams (February 11, 1755 – June 20, 1834) was a farmer and political figure in Upper Canada.
He was born in Connecticut in 1755. He served with Jessup's Rangers during the American Revolution and settled in Edwardsburg Township, later moving to South Gower Township in 1818. He was named a justice of the peace in the Eastern District in 1796. He served as a major in the local militia during the War of 1812. He represented Grenville in the 6th Parliament of Upper Canada. He died in South Gower Township in 1834.
