The Giant is a folk song written and performed by Canadian musician Stan Rogers. The song was performed on his album Fogarty's Cove as well as on his live album Home in Halifax. The song is about Fionn mac Cumhaill, the hunter-warrior of gaelic mythology. This mythology was transported across the Atlantic with the Scots who came to live in Cape Breton.
