Giacomo di Castro

Giacomo di Castro (1597 - 1687) was an Italian painter of the Baroque period, active mainly in Naples and Sorrento. He ws born in the Piano di Sorrento. He was a pupil of Giovanni Battista Caracciolo, then Domenichino. He painted the Spozalizio, the Annunciation, and Archangel Michael expelling Lucifer from Paradise in Sant' Aniello in Sorrento.
