[edit] Synopsis
Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Yoshi are searching for Oogtar, who has been apparently been wandering around the Forest of Illusion (called "the Enchanted Forest"). They then encounter a Magikoopa named Wizardheimer (everyone pronounces his name wrong), who is infamous for being the most cruel Magikoopa in Dinosaur Land. Yoshi chickens out and runs away, while Wizardheimer commands the rest to go down a warp pipe to his lair, the Forest Ghost House, or to be blown apart by a Bob-Omb.
Yoshi then encounters Oogtar when the caveboy scares him by announcing himself as the "King of the Jungle", but he eventually gets stuck in a Piranha Plant, which Yoshi eats. Oogtar tells Yoshi that he's not afraid of anything, even though they encounter a Wiggler, which Oogtar is afraid of. Yoshi then finds a pair of wings, Oogtar hops on, and the two head to the Ghost House in which Wizardheimer is residing.
When they reach the Ghost House, Oogtar is kidnapped, leaving only Yoshi let to save them all. He then goes inside, and after being chased by Boos, finally reaches the dungeon where his friends are being held. Yoshi eats Wizardheimer's wand and uses the Magikoopa's own magic against him, freeing the others. Oogtar then tries to break down the door, only to find a key, which sends them back to Dome City.
[edit] Trivia/Goofs
- This episode's title is in no doubt a reference to the Toys "R" Us franchise. So is the episode Crimes R Us from The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3.
- This is Oogtar's first appearance.
- When Yoshi flies around to eat the Wiggler, the background moves, but the "?" Block in the background does not.
- When Peach says "We never did anything to you," Luigi's gloves are the color of his face!
- When the dungeon is first shown, there are four chains. Mario, Luigi, and Toadstool are there, leaving one empty chain. The first screen Wizardheimer uses to go up the stairs, the empty chain is no longer there!
- Watch Mario and Luigi's legs in the dungeon. They're chained when the dungeon is first shown. But after Wizardheimer says "That's Wizardheimer! Wiiiizardheimer!" the chains disappear. Oddly, they reappear on Luigi's legs when he talks, but they disappear again until Wizardheimer laughs at the top of the stairs, at which point we see them again!
- When Yoshi closes a door behind him while being chased by ghosts, the screen right after he closes the door, it's not there! But we see it again in the next shot! Even in the dungeon, we see the door close but it disappears when Yoshi gets ready to eat Wizardheimer's magic wand!
- Right after Oogtar puts the key in the keyhole, everyone is shown standing on green grass until the next scene, everyone's standing on brown ground!
- When Wizardheimer pulls out the Bob-omb to make Mario and Co. jump down the pipe, you can hear the fuse still burning even though Wizardheimer put it away!
- The closed door keeps disappearing when Yoshi is face to face with Wizardheimer!
- When Wizardheimer gets knocked down the steps from being stomped on by Mario, the chains that Mario, Luigi, Princess, and Oogtar were shackled to disappear for the rest of the episode! Didn't the chains just open up, releasing them all?
- Watch the scene when Wizardheimer is trying to make Mario and Co. jump down the warp pipe. That floating block in the upper left-hand corner of the screen disappears in some shots!
- When Wizardheimer is leaving, the "L" on Luigi's cap turns white on a black background and the "M" on Mario's cap turns red on a black background.
- When Mario starts talking in Dome City, the "L" on Luigi's cap is white on a black background!
- When Yoshi's running from the ghosts and runs in the door, his shell is white and the border's red!
- When Wizardheimer says "You green-faced glutton," his mouth isn't moving.
