[edit] Character Classes

Peasant: All characters begin the game as Peasants. This is when players are given their first skills, which carry over to their next class. Once the player has reached level ten, a job ascension will become available. The player can then choose to either become a "Warrior, "Assassin", or "Magician".

Warrior: The Warrior class is the main melee class of Ghost Online. The class offers a high amount of defense and offense. They do not have many ranged attacks, so they are forced to approach their target head-on in order to fight. Warriors can battle with a sword, a basic, melee weapon with high attack power, or a blade, another melee weapon with even greater attack power than its counterpart. Sword-type skills are more hit- and target-amount oriented, Blade-type focus on utilizing the Blade's status as the physically strongest weapon, and focusing the damage on fewer monsters, contrary to the sword's.

Assassin: The Assassin class is the most agile and stealthiest class, opting to outmaneuver their opponents rather than attack bluntly. Players can choose to wield a claw, a fast melee weapon, or a glove, a ranged weapon using throwing stars. Different varieties of throwing stars (with different bonuses to player attack (ATK) power) are bought at stores, and are used up as glove-users fight with them. Assassins serve as both a ranged and a melee class, something the other two classes lack. Claw assassins seem to be more single-target oriented, having only one mob-attacking skill (gained at level 18), where glove assassins' skills are highly capable of taking on multiple targets. This class becomes very powerful after level 75 and they do extremely high damage due to having maxed mastery.

Magician: The Magician class is the magic user of Ghost Online, focusing on ranged, magical attacks to fight. A Magician may use a fan, the weapon with the higher magic attack, or a staff, the weapon with the higher physical attack. Fan users usually start out with fire-based magics, and staff users use ice-based ones. Fan magic gets stronger than staff magic as the player levels, but the staff's ice-based magic has the advantage of having a random freeze probability on monsters. Magician also serve as a slightly more defense-capable class due to their ability to blind monsters, teleport from danger, and raise the defense stat.

[edit] PVP

PVP is Player Versus Player. You can only do PVP if you have class changed, level 10 or more, must be in a town and you can only fight an opponent if the difference in level between you and your opponent is no more than 10. For example, a duel cannot take place if you and your opponent are at level 15 and 30 respectively; whereas both characters can engage in a duel if you and your opponent are at level 15 and 25 respectively.

[edit] Monsters

The main source of Gold (in-game currency) and experience points (needed to level up) are the monsters in the game. They are found in pretty much every field outside of the cities and towns, and portals leading to maps with monsters (usually from town) are colored red.

So far, there are three classifications of monsters, based on their attack capabilities. They are Touch Damage (player receives damage upon making contact), Attacking (monster has an attack skill, usually doing more damage than touch damage), and Ranged (monster has a projectile attack skill). As usual, Touch Damage can be received from any monster. Although monsters may have attacks, most do not attack unprovoked, but their aggression depends on the monster's level, with higher leveled monsters being more aggressive to the player than lower levelled ones.

Monsters also vary in mobility. There are three types of mobility for monsters, which are Walking, Stationary, and Flying. Walking monsters walk or run around on the ground in varying speeds, and are highly common. Stationary monsters do not move, so they usually have some sort of ranged attack in order to fight, along with their touch damage. The last type is flying monsters, who often occupy the higher level areas along with other monsters, and are usually harder for melee classes to attack and fight. If you use Palm Force and a follow up physical attack a flying monster will die immediately, regardless of Hit Points.

[edit] Bosses

All the bosses in GO are all currently animal/human hybrids of the 12 animals of the Chinese Zodiac. All Boss monsters carry some form of weapon with which they attack, and all are flying monsters. The first boss is the Pig Boss and is level 30. Followed by the Dog [40] and then the Rooster [50] Continuing onwards until the snake. [90] Animals that have not been used yet include the Dragon, the Horse and the Rabbit.
