Gholam Reza Azhari

Gholam Reza Azhari (1912 – November 5, 2001) was a military leader and Prime Minister of Iran.
Born in Shiraz, he enrolled in Officer Training School and climbed his way rapidly up the ranks.
He became a Major General of The Shah's army. On December 21st 1978, Azhari, then the Prime Minister, told U.S. Ambassador to Iran William Sullivan that, "You must know this and you must tell it to your government. This country is lost because the Shah cannot make up his mind."
He died in the United States of America.
