[edit] Self-related edits
Please tread very carefully when editing articles closely related to yourself and when adding links to your own site. I don't have a problem with the specific material you've added, but as a general rule Wikipedia discourages editors from writing about themselves or linking to their own sites. Adding information to the LASIK article is fine, but it would be better to suggest the usaeyes.org links on the Talk page and see if other editors agree that they should be included. For the CRSQA article, given that it involves you fairly closely, better to discuss any suggestions for change on the Talk page. There's more detail on these guidelines & why they exist at Wikipedia:External links and Wikipedia:Autobiography.
I hope you'll stick around and continue contributing to articles - unfortunately, self-promotion is enough of a problem here that editors are justifiably wary of people editing articles about themselves, so this is something that has to be handled with caution. --Calair 13:30, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
