Gez Murphy (born 9 June 1976) is an English footballer who plays for semi-professional team Nuneaton Borough.

Murphy started his career as an apprentice at Leicester City, but couldn't get into the 1st team and he went onto sign for VS Rugby, after a spell at Rugby, Murphy moved onto Solihull Borough then to Atherstone United then to Gresley Rovers, while Murphy played for Gresley he was given a trial with Conference National Side Telford United.

Murphy impressed the Telford management setup, got a contract and went to be there leading scorer with 16 goals in the 1999/2000 campaign. When his contract ran out at Bucks Head, he got a move to Boston United, while there Murphy played a major part in the York Street clubs promorion to the Football League in 2002. Murphy then moved to Kettering Town in the summer of 2002. Since then Murphy had an initial loan spell at Nuneaton Borough and has now been at Manor Park for 2 full seasons and he is contracted there till the end of the 2005/2006 season.

Murphy has also worked as the Football in the Community Officer for Coventry City Football Club in the past.

On 7 January 2006 Gez Murphy scored the equalising penalty that ensured his team a money spinning replay at the Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough after getting a 1-1 Draw in the FA Cup 3rd Round. He then also scored two more goals in the replay, which Boro lost 5-2. On 16 January 2006 Gez was voted as the FA Cup player of the round, for the 3rd round of the FA Cup.
