[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:LocationRomanRepublic.png
Thanks for uploading Image:LocationRomanRepublic.png. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hunter 06:05, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks!
Thanks for the great correction work on Serial Experiments Lain! I didn't know the cite.php trick. It looks sooo much more serious now. About the punctuation/citation order, is this what's generally done, ore something more specific to wikipedia? Also, thanks for letting me know that it's "whether".--SidiLemine 16:11, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Daedric Artifacts
Hello! I love what you've added to the Volendrung section, but I'm worried it may need to get pruned a little. I'm not sure whether the history of the dwemmer clan belongs there or in the Hammerfall section, or in both. From memory the general consensus was to stick with the artifacts and not go into too much detail about their histories. But it looks good. *sits and admires many references, even if most of them are the Imperial Library* Morgrim 07:57, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thank you for correction to Finland Plot
Thank you for your correction in the Finland Plot article. You were correct in changing the the link to the Thai-newspaper The Nation. Patiwat 06:11, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anton Productions
Since you mentioned that this was your first AfD submission, I'm pleased to report that it was correct in every regard, and that it was successful. Thank you for your help in keeping Wikipedia free from advertising. Sandstein 10:17, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Byzantine Empire
Hello! I know you have been a contributor to the discussions at Talk:Byzantine Empire, (especially about maps!) so I am eager to know what you think about the latest proposal on that page. There is a vote about whether or not we should change the Byzantine Empire from pink to purple in all the maps of the article. I would be very happy to see your support or object, or even comment on this issue. Please let us know what you think! Thanks, Bigdaddy1204 13:33, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Decline
Thanks for removing the Decline article of OR and listing them chronologically. The previous system of categories seemed well meaning by someone who knew the topic, but on closer inspection it broke down because theories are more nuanced and less ridged than that system recognized. -- Stbalbach 16:07, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for noticing! I did it in response to something you typed, so really, the commendation should land on your shoulders. I decided on chronological ordering, but I'm not sure if the organization's perfect yet. If the order's off, I'd be much obliged if you'd fix it. Thanks, and good work on finally getting the term recognized! Geuiwogbil 11:40, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Proposed Wikipedia talk:Notability (news)
In the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Murder of Tom ap Rhys Pryce in which you participated, some editors suggested the need for a guideline where a consensus could be reached regarding whether everything which is newsworthy is also encyclopedic. I have created a draft of a proposed guideline Wikipedia talk:Notability (news). Your input is welcome. Thanks. Edison 15:27, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Head of the Argonian, Oblivion.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Head of the Argonian, Oblivion.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
