[edit] Geum: silk not gold?
Dear All, the article suggests that the river's English "name" (and thus meaning?) is "gold". However, with respect, is this correct? I indicated on another occasion (quite rudely, I apologize for posting in the article! ^^) that the Hanja for the river was not 金, which has the 'meaning' of gold. I said that it was in fact 錦 and someone kindly changed it. As far as I am aware the character 錦 is one word for 비단 'silk', not 금 'gold'. Cheers, Mumun 23:37, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
