The Gettysburg National Battlefield Tower was a 307 foot observation tower which stood on the battlefield of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It gave tourists spectacular views of the battlefield. The tower was built in 1974 among great controversy by Thomas R. Ottenstein. It was imploded by the Government on July 3, 2000 at 5:00.
