"Get Wild" was the first single released from the New Power Generation's 1995 album, Exodus. The song is pure funk, recalling funk legends such as Parliament and Funkadelic. The horn arrangement would not be out of place on a James Brown single. The lead vocals are by Prince whom delivers a rap during the bridge. Some Spanish vocals are provided by Mayte. A maxi-single was released with several remixes of the song.

The song was actually previewed in a different mix in the film, Prêt-à-Porter (English title, Ready to Wear). The movie's soundtrack includes the song. "Get Wild" also inspired a perfume, sold through Prince's mail order retail outlet. Prince's rap from "Get Wild" was later reused in a promotional remix of the Gold Experience track, "P. Control".
