[edit] Political Activity

Get Informed officers Jay Davis, Maria Flores, Marcus Barnes, and Leroy Davis are four of six people on the U.S.-based "International Satellite Office" of the aborted 2005 Liberian Presidential campaign of Francis Y.S. Garlawolu. Garlawolu selected Get Informed as his economic advisor, and offered to repay investments in his campaign with government contracts and access to Liberian resources if he was elected.

Jay Davis and Maria Flores are also committee managers in the Nuwaubian Trust Freedom Network, which is trying to raise money for the defense of company founder Dwight York who is imprisoned in the United States on multiple RICO and child molestation convictions. Garlawolu is helping York in his attempts to be "repatriated" to Liberia, a country in which he has never set foot. LeRoy Davis is "Deputy Grand Master" of the Nuwaubian Grand East Lodge #3 of Savannah, Georgia, and is married to Richelle York of the Nuwaubian Administration of International Affairs.

Get Informed™ was not founded by Dr. Malachi Z. York although an international firm of the same name was incorporated in Liberia in 2005. Get Informed asserts that it has no connection or affiliation with any individual named Dwight York, under the theory that "Dwight York" and "Malachi Z. York" are not the same person.

Get Informed™ is a general partnership licensed in Richmond County, Georgia and is not the same entity as Get Informed International, Inc. although their international interests are parallel with one another. Get Informed's interest(s) in Liberia are based a socio-economic development and therein lies their official connection with Dr. Malachi York, who was supposedly appointed as a Consul General for Liberia under the criminal Charles Taylor regime when Get Informed™ was founded.

The concepts and ideologies of Get Informed were accepted, endorsed and adopted by Dr. York as being sound and right for the development and growth of Liberia's socio-economic condition and a branch-off company was established to help better facilitate the implementation of economic strategies within the country's business and commercial infrastructure. The works and accomplishments of Dr. Malachi Z. York were mutually accepted and endorsed by the staff at Get Informed™ and a working partnership for the growth and economic empowerment of Liberians and African peoples throughout the globe was established. Get Informed™ claims that York's convictions for child molestation were the result of a conspiracy and that the U.S. government should release him from prison and send him to Liberia.

The combined efforts of Get Informed and Get Informed International has resulted in a clinic and a school being built in Monrovia and continued efforts being made to improve the economic status of the country and Africans globally.

The offer by Cllr. Francis Garlawolu in connection with his presidential campaign (outlined below) was never accepted or acted on by Get Informed™ or Get Informed International, Inc. or any of the individuals named as executives of the company(ies), which subsequently resulted in the Cllr. withdrawing from the presidential race for lack of funding.

Richelle York is currently working on behalf of Get Informed International and the Trust Freedom Network with the present government in Liberia to facilitate the economic growth of the country and the release of convicted felon York so that he can be sent to Liberia.
