Gesine Confectionary and Gourmet Market

Gesine Confectionary and Gourmet Market, more commonly known as Gesine Confectionary, is a confectionery and bakery located in Montpelier, Vermont. The shop specializes in pastries, and is owned by Gesine Bullock-Prado, the sister of actress Sandra Bullock of Miss Congeniality fame.

The confectionery, which is located in a renovated kitchen in a largely residential area,[1] is perhaps most notable for its macaroons.[1] [2] It opened on August 2, 2005, and Bullock showed up to support her sister, the first of several appearances at the shop.

  • Gesine Bullock-Prado and her sister own Fortis Films, which is a film company that has produced several of Bullock's movies
  • Prado has some experience at cooking up pastries and sweets: she made the wedding cake for her sister's marriage to Jesse G. James.[3]
