Gervase Markham (programmer)

Gervase Markham (born June 1978) is a programmer for the Mozilla Foundation, and a lead developer of Bugzilla. He joined the Mozilla organization at age 23 after he graduated from Oxford University.

He is named after his grandfather; both are related to the 16th century poet and writer Gervase Markham.

Gervase has a popular blog at http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/gerv/ entitled "Hacking for Christ", referring to his passion for both computer programming and his Christian faith. He also writes a fortnightly column for the The Times Online about the Internet and other technology issues.

He has also presented to the FOSDEM conference for several years about the Mozilla foundation activities and Bugzilla.
