Gerry Taggart (born 18 October 1970 in Belfast) is a retired Northern Irish footballer who played for Manchester City, Barnsley, Bolton Wanderers, Leicester City and Stoke City. In addition he made 51 appearances for Northern Ireland, scoring 7 goals. He was a strong, dependable centre-half.
In 1997 he helped Bolton Wanderers to the Premiership. They had amassed 98 points and 100 goals in the 1996-1997 season and gained promotion as deserved Champions of the First Division.
