Gerriet Postma (born October 30, 1932) is a Dutch painter.

Gerriet Postma was born in Twijzelerheide, Friesland, the Netherlands. He can be described as a vehement man who paints vehement paintings, with explosions of paint and abstract knots of color, with a distant figurative strain running through it.

His most recent magnificent and gigantic work comprises four panels, painted on the four main sails of the traditional and historic cargo barge "Klipper Anna". The painting is two sided and its is about 270 m2. The 106-year-old ship has been provided by its owners, Gijs en Inge van Hesteren from Harlingen, Friesland, the Netherlands. All summer long in 2004, the painting could be seen everywhere around the Dutch Waddensea. The ship has been sailing daily with these sails.

Gerriet Postma has become the best known Frisian painter alive. His work is sold and is on display far outside of the Netherlands, in cities like Paris, Brussels and Barcelona.
