Germanic folklore

Germanic folklore is the lore and mythological culture of several European, and sometimes American, countries. It is the folklore of Germanic peoples from proto-Germanic times to the modern age. It is sometimes incorrectly confined to Germanic paganism, that being the pre-Christian religion of the Germanic world. However, folklore encompasses a much larger definition that just mythology (mythology is a subfield of folklore).
