For the church in Stockholm, see German Church, Stockholm.

The German Church is in Bedford Street South, Canning, Liverpool, England.

An English cleric came across a prayer meeting of some Germans in a disused ship on the River Mersey, a man was ordained and ministered to this congregation. Initially it was a German-speaking congregation in the Church of England, later to become a Lutheran.

This is the origin of the German Lutheran congregation in Liverpool, after using many different buildings it built its own in 1960.
