Germán Darío Lux (born June 7, 1982 in Carcarañá, Santa Fe Province); nicknamed "Poroto"; is an Argentine soccer player who currently plays for Club Atlético River Plate.

As goalkeeper for six soccer matches during the 2004 Summer Olympics, leading up to the gold medal triumph of his Argentine team, he did not concede a goal in six matches. He was able to watch his team score nine goals in the opening three-match group phase, four goals in the quarter-final against Costa Rica, three goals in the semi-final against Italy, and completing this with a victory of a single goal over Paraguay.

During the Confederations Cup 2005, he had a poor performance, allowing ten goals in five matches, four of them in the final.

Surprisingly enough he was left out of the Argentine team list for the FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany, instead the coach José Pekerman decided to take Oscar Ustari (Club Atlético Independiente) to the World Cup.

Before the beginning of the Clausura, River late coach Passarella has announced he will no longer be counting on Lux and dismissed him from the squad.
