Gerard Cornielje

Dutch born (12-06-1962) saxophonist-singer-poet. Famous for his entertaining live acts and aggressive sax-attack, combining jazz and poetry in an exciting mix. Recorded several albums: Lounge Lizard (2000), Zoek (2002) and Saxbomb (2006) Published poetry in Dutch and English. Titles of some of his books: Het Dal Der Moerbezienbomen (1978) Goudgemutst (1980) Zomer (1983) Naar Morgen (1985) Japanese Jazz (2000) Gerard Cornielje is also known for his studies and publications regarding transformational-generative grammar. After finishing his formal music education, Gerard Cornielje traveled the world extensively and performed music and recited poetry in the following countries: Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Greece, Italy, France, Germany, England, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, The Bahama's, Austria, Switzerland and his native Holland.

Gerard Cornielje lives and works currently in Spain.
