Abou Anis was his "rebell" name, not "Kunya", he dont have a son called Anis, instead his father was Anis, and therefore "Abou Anis" came from his fathers name, using this nickname during the war.

my apologies for changing it. i've changed back, and put it in the civil war part now. Arre

[edit] picture

Is it possible to add a picture? on www.george-hawi.com there should be some to "take".

well, it has to bee free to take, so you should check the copyright terms. otherwise it will be deleted from wikipedia sooner or later. good idea, though. i've been editing his article a bit now, so i'm kind of curious of how he looks :-) Arre 22:09, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

Here it is, picture just minutes before the blast, on his cap he was "promoting" his stepson Raffi Madeyan for the elections. He was known to have fantastic sense of humour, and he really "smiled" a lot :-)
  • ah, nice... but sad. and, i have to think that image is protected by copyright, so i don't think we can take it. but i'm not very good in the copyright policies of wikipedia, so maybe you could find a loophole somewhere in the rules.
  • and just so you know: when writing on the talk pages of wikipedia, it's customary to sign your articles with your editing name or IP number. that's done by entering four tildes in a row. and, also, you should get an account! there's a lot to do with the lebanon articles. peace, Arre 23:37, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
  • ok, registered, now ready to rock :-) I have to study these policies about copyright etc. Then I will se what to do to put a picture on the site. He really deserves it.--H-CTR 23:53, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

You could try writing to the website and asking them to release it into the public domain or by the GFDL license Wikipedia uses. Palmiro | Talk 13:41, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
