State Route 347 is a west-east highway in northeast Georgia. From its western terminus at Lake Lanier Islands beach and water park, the route runs east on Holiday Road to S.R. 13. It then continues east on Friendship Road, past its interchange with Interstate 985 into southeastern Hall County. The route then continues east on Thompson Mill Road, to its eastern terminus at S.R. 211 west of Braselton.

As the Atlanta area has grown over the past few years, S.R. 347 has undergone strain from an influx of new subdivisions and housing developments, especially during morning and evening rush hours. S.R. 347 also serves as an important connector to Lake Lanier Islands and the southeast portion of Lake Lanier from Interstate 985.
