There were six head coaches of the Georgia Bulldogs football team in the 1890's. Charles Herty (1982 season), Ernest Brown (1893 season), Robert Winston (1894 season), "Pop" Warner, (1895 & 1896 seasons), Charles McCarthy (1897 & 1898 seasons) and Gordon Saussy (1899 season).

There were seven head coaches of the Georgia Bulldogs football team in the first decade of the 1900's. E. E. Jones (1900 season), Billy Reynolds (1901 & 1902 seasons), Marvin D. Dickinson (1903 & 1905 seasons), Charles Barnard, (1904 season), Bull Whitney (1906 & 1907 seasons), Branch Bocock (1908 season) and James Coulter & Frank Dobson (1909 season). The first decade of 1900 was the worst decade of football in Georgia Bulldog history.

There was only one head coachof the Georgia Bulldogs football team in the 1910's. Since Georgia did not field a team in 1917 or 1918 due to World War I, W. A. Cunningham coached the bulldogs for eight seasons. Although the team had slipped below .500 as the result of a poor showing in the first decade of the season, Cunningham's teams had enough success to pull Georgia's cumulative record back above .500.
