Georges Malfait

Georges W. Malfait was an French athlete. He competed at the 1908 Summer Olympics in London at the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm.
In the 100 metres, Malfait lost his first round heat to Nathaniel Cartmell, finishing in 11.2 seconds to Cartmell's 11.0 to be eliminated from competition.
The next day, Malfait won his preliminary heat of the 200 metres with a time of 22.6 seconds. His semifinal race resulted in a close finish, with George A. Hawkins and Patrick Roche edging Malfait into third place in the heat.
Malfait's performance in the 400 metres was quite similar to that in the 200; he won his preliminary heat with a time of 50.0 seconds before placing last (this time, of four) in his semifinal.
