George and Frank Coe

George Coe rode with Billy the Kid in the Lincoln County War. In 1878 George had his trigger finger shot off during the battle of Blazer's Mill. Many years later, in the 1920s, George befriended William Ash during Bill's childhood vacation in New Mexico and told Bill inspiring stories of adventrue and escape from the days of the Wild West. Bill Ash became a legendary escape artist as an Allied POW during World War II.
