George Whitefield Coleman

George Whitefield Coleman was a Bishop of the Free Methodist Church, elected in 1886. He was born 10 October 1830 in Perry Center, New York. He was converted to the Christian faith as a child at his mother's side. In his early life he was a farmer and a lay preacher. He entered the Genesee Annual Conference of the Free Methodist Church on-trial in 1863. As Bishop he was the Third General Superintendent of the Free Methodist Church. He died 3 July 1907 in Gainesville, New York, where he is also buried.
