George Trotter

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

George Trotter was a character in the BBC sitcom Only Fools and Horses. He was the brother of Grandad and Uncle Albert. Little is known about George, apart from the fact that he was in the army in the First World War. Other little facts have been revealed to us about George, in the episode "The Russians Are Coming", Grandad tells Del Boy and Rodney that in the days of the war, kids aged 14 tried to get in the army by pretending that they were eighteen. However he said George was 18 and he was pretending to be 14, but didn't get away with it because of his moustache. Also, in "Strained Relations", George was thought to have been Del's godfather but Albert claimed that Del's mother Joan Trotter asked him to be the godfather, so apparently Uncle Albert and Uncle George spun a coin, and George lost!
