George Sutherland-Leveson-Gower, 3rd Duke of Sutherland

George Granville William Sutherland-Leveson-Gower, 3rd Duke of Sutherland (December 19, 1828–September 22, 1892) was the son of George Sutherland-Leveson-Gower, 2nd Duke of Sutherland. He was MP for Sutherland from 1852 until he succeeded his father as Duke in 1861.
He married, firstly, Anne Hay-Mackenzie, on 27 June 1849, at Cliveden House. They had five children:
- George Granville Sutherland-Leveson-Gower (27 July 1850–5 July 1858), died young.
- Cromartie Sutherland-Leveson-Gower, 4th Duke of Sutherland (20 July 1851–27 June 1913)
- Francis Mackenzie Sutherland-Leveson-Gower, 2nd Earl of Cromartie (3 August 1852–24 November 1893)
- Florence Sutherland-Leveson-Gower (d. 10 October 1881), married Henry Chaplin, 1st Viscount Chaplin and had issue.
- Alexandra Sutherland-Leveson-Gower (d. 16 April 1891), died unmarried.
Lord Sutherland married, secondly, Mary Caroline Michell, on 4 March 1889, in Dunedin, Florida. He died at Dunrobin Castle, and was buried on 29 September 1892 at Trentham in Staffordshire.
