George Newport

George Newport (14 February 1803 - Canterbury6 April 1854 - London) was a prominent English entomologist .

Newport is especially noted for his studies utilising the microscope and his skills in dissection.He was President of the Entomological Society of London 1843-1844 and also a member of the Ray Society .

George Newport wrote:
