George Nelson, 1st Baron Nelson of Stafford

George Horatio Nelson, 1st Baron Nelson of Stafford (26 October 1887 – 16 July 1962) was a British engineer, the chairman of the firm English Electric.
Nelson became chairman of EE in 1930 and was later knighted. He served as president of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. On 20 January 1960 he was made a hereditary peer as Baron Nelson of Stafford. His son, Henry, succeeded him as both Baron Nelson of Stafford and chairman of English Electric.
