George McClellan (police)

George Brinton McClellan, Jr. (b. August 13, 1908, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada – July 19, 1982, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) served as the 13th Commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, from November 1, 1963 to August 14, 1967.

He was born to George Brinton McClellan, Sr. and Elizabeth Ann Cunnington in 1908 in Saskatchewan. George McClellan, Jr. married Bertha Elizabeth Austin in 1941; they had 3 daughters.

He should not be confused with American military general George Brinton McClellan, to whom he was no relation.
