George Herbert Walker IV

George Herbert Walker IV is a Managing Director at Lehman Brothers and is a second cousin to U.S. President George W. Bush.
Walker began his career on Wall Street when he joined Goldman Sachs in the Merger Department in 1992 and six years later, in 1998, became of one of the firm's youngest partners ever. He held several senior positions at Goldman, including co-head of the firm's Wealth Management business, and head of Alternative Investment strategies. In May 2006, Walker announced that he was resigning from Goldman Sachs to become global head of rival Lehman Brothers' Investment Management division.
George went to the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and received a dual degree- a B.S. and a B.A. He also received his MBA from Wharton when he completed the 5 year MBA program at Wharton making him one of the few people to get his MBA without work experience. He was a member of the fraternity, St. Anthony Hall.
Walker's father, George Herbert Walker III, was U.S. ambassador to Hungary. Walker's great-grandfather, George Herbert Walker I, was the founder of G. W. Walker & Co.
Walker was raised in St. Louis, Mo and has a younger sister, Carter.
