George F. Dales

George Franklyn Dales Jr. (Akron, 1927 – Berkeley, April 25, 1992), was an archaeology professor at the University of Pennsylvania, where he previously earned his Ph.D., and the University of California, Berkeley, where he chaired the South and Southeast Asian Studies department. He was considered a leading expert on Indus valley peoples and their languages.
