George Ducas (born August 1, 1971 in Texas City, Texas) is a country music singer and songwriter, best known for his 1995 Top 10 single "Lipstick Promises".

He was raised in San Diego, California and got his first guitar at the age of ten and he began writing songs in high school. He began to perform professionally when he attended college in Nashville, Tennessee.

He pursued a full-time music career in 1991. It was in Nashville that he met Radney Foster and the two co-wrote the song "Just Call Me Lonesome," which was a Top 10 for Foster in 1992. Ducas at this time was getting a growing reputation in the country music clubs for his live performances and got his own recording deal with EMI.

In 1994 he made his first chart entry with "Teardrops," but it was his second single "Lipstick Promises" that won him acclaim. His debut album, the self-titled "George Ducas," achieved positive notices in the United States and sold well in the United Kingdom.

Artists that have recorded his songs include Garth Brooks, George Jones, Dixie Chicks, Trisha Yearwood, Radney Foster and Gary Allan.

In 2005 Ducas and Foster wrote "A Real Fine Place To Start", a #1 hit for Sara Evans.

Ducas is currently working on his long awaited third solo album, due for release in the Spring of 2007.
